And you wonder why Waterstone SUCKS!


I have a good number of blogs a few of them dealing with Waterstone, many of them have a direct click on link to a site where you can post about Waterstone http://pub19.bravenet.com/forum/1625886802.

In checking today I found the below post which says better than I ever could just why Waterstone SUCKS - here it is FYI:

Waterstone Sucks-
I am an owner at Calypso. I had my unit with Waterstone. I've never stayed in the unit myself, but did inspect it three times last year and each time it was dirty. The first two times, I informed the desk and asked that they have the unit re-cleaned. I never checked back to see if it was done.

In Nov I again inspected the unit, it was not just dirty. It was filthy!! The carpet was so dirty, it had to be replaced. There was filth everywhere. The walls were marked up, dust and dirt caked on baseboards, light bulbs. Even the toaster was dirty. I was so disgusted, I gave the Waterstone office a handwritten note right then and told them they were fired.

They did not acknowledge the note, I sent them an email and again they did not respond. Finally on Nov 11, I sent them a certified letter telling them they were no longer to rent my unit and if they had renters, to put them elsewhere. I then undertook the job of totally renewing the unit with new carpet, paint, etc. Not only are they the worst housekeepers I've ever seen, but they charge the owner for Travel Agent Fees on top of their own.

They charge the owner for "credit card" use. And, they will charge the owner a minimun of $22.50 everytime they so much as set foot in the unit to do anything, all the while charging the owner $35.00 a month for maintenance that is never covered or done. They rip the owners off with the keyless entry crap.

Owners of Calypso units, need to understand that these people are absolutely ruining our investments, and they need to be removed from the premises. Suck!!! You bet they SUCK!! And we as owners, need to find other managers and run these SUCKERS off the premises.

Beware of renting from W....

Calypso Resort was nice, great location but didnt not receive deposit back because of claimed damage that was done to the outside balcony railings???!!! I have never heard of such, what kind of damage can you do to a railing that is made of steel that can withstand high volumes of wind? Was suppose to get proof of damage by picture but got nothing but the runaround......This is just fyi, beware! As renters we are, to some degree, at their mercy when it comes to getting back your deposit. I have always been extremely careful when renting someones' property and was appalled at this accusation. Just wanted to warn the next possible renters

broken elevators, 3 am false alarms, rude staff and visitors, nothing provided in condo, list goes on and on..... Guess I missed the fine line somewhere..... red necks only.

First off I would like to say:

The Calypso has the WORST STAFF ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!!

We stayed 7 nights at the Calypso. 3 of those hot days were without A/C and off and on without water. Construction of the TIKI bar that I was told on the phone was open, started at 6:30am. We never found a luggage cart our whole stay.

I read another review that said it best, --- "We felt that the resort had the attitude of they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there." --- The staff were just all out rude, did not care about anyones problems. Everyone I talked to at the resort was having problems. We called the front desk many times and no one ever picked up. So we went down to the front desk and their attitude was, "And what do you want us to do about it".

The resort had more terrorist then Iraq. These terrorist were all 12-14 year old kids staying there for a tournament of some kind. The parents of these kids just let them roam free and do what ever the hello they wanted. Pushing other kids in the pool, running & screaming in the middle of the night, riding and BREAKING the elevators. They were like packs of rabbit dogs. We called security and were as helpful as the front desk. .

I heard of two different groups of people getting stuck in the elevators during our stay and the front desk did nothing to help get them out. The family members or other guest had to call 911. The elevators do not have A/C and are like ovens.

The rooms are great, but the service was AWFUL!

This was the worst vacation we have EVER had. We will never stay at the Calypso or even a Waterstone condo again.

EVERYTHING WAS BROKEN!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo the week of june30. They only have 3 elevators for more than 150 rooms. The waits were more than 20 minutes to get on the elevators at times, and thats if they were working. While we were there 2 of them broke. We didnt have air conditioning for 2 nights and our washing machine messed up. They didnt have nearly enough luggage carts so we had to park and go back and fourth to our car 4 times to get all our stuff in the room. Everyone at the entire hotel as very dissatisfied. The rooms were nice but thats about it. Front desk was rude as well.

Terrible!

WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE CALYPSO AGAIN! WE HAD A SERIES OF ISSUES, ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER THE WEEK WE STAYED. FROM LOSS OF ELECTRICITY & WATER, TO WAITING FOREVER FOR THE ELEVATORS, AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. TO TOP IT OFF MANAGEMENT & CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS A "WE COULD CARE LESS" ATTITUDE.

Poor Property Management

We stayed at this resport in May with our 3 children. We had no A/C the entire stay and there were no rooms to move us to. The Management staff was rude and said "It is not our fault the air went out." I am still dealing with them to try and get some sort of refund and all they offered is 5%.

When I rent a place I expect it to be fully functioning and if it is not, they should fix the problem or refun the money if they can not move you to another unit.

Worst stay ever!

Ok- Where do I start.... When we first arrived, my reservations were supposedly "cancelled"... however, neither I nor the travel booking agent had it cancelled. I had the confirmation number and paid in full receipt, however, staff was not very willing to help. Their response was "sorry, it was cancelled, and we are full so we don't have any rooms to give you even if we could." I finally got a hold of travel agency and they did not show reservation cancelled at all, and was able to get me a room (somehow... they found a room... the same room type that I reserved!)

The room was nice, and clean, However, the air conditioning didn't work, the toilet in one bathroom run constantly making a loud whistling sound, and the table on the balcony was broken. In addition, we stayed 7 nights, and they refused to give us clean linens (saying that there is a washer and dryer in each room so we are supposed to wash them if needed), and even refused to give us a trash bag or a new roll of toilet paper when we ran out. They said that they "set up the room, and then anything else is up to you to furnish"... There was no kitchen trash can in our room, so I asked for a trash bag to put our trash in, and they refused, instead giving me directions to the nearest store so I could purchase some.

They do give you 2 beach chairs and umbrella per day, however, they didn't tell you that you have to get up at 6:00 am to wait in line for 2 hours each day to get them or else they run out. I have stayed in other condo's on PCB and this was the worst service and rudest staff I have ever encountered. The room itself was nice... but the service was very poor. Me or my family will never again stay in a waterstone resort.
